  1. sudo xcode-select –install
    xcode-select: error: invalid argument ‘–install’
    sudo codesign -f -s – /Applications/Bartender\
    error: The specified item could not be found in the keychain.

  2. Try this command in terminal after you have installed bartender to the applications folder:

    sudo codesign -f -s – /Applications/Bartender\

    you need to do this first:

    sudo xcode-select –install

    1. When I do sudo xcode-select –install , I get this error.
      xcode-select: error: invalid argument ‘–install’
      Usage: xcode-select [options]

      Print or change the path to the active developer directory. This directory
      controls which tools are used for the Xcode command line tools (for example,
      xcodebuild) as well as the BSD development commands (such as cc and make).

      -h, –help print this help message and exit
      -p, –print-path print the path of the active developer directory
      -s , –switch set the path for the active developer directory
      –install open a dialog for installation of the command line developer tools
      -v, –version print the xcode-select version
      -r, –reset reset to the default command line tools path

  3. The downloaded version is throwing me an error :
    ” Bartender 3 2 cannot be opened because of a problem. ”
    Check with the developer to make sure Bartender 3 2 works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS.

    Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple.

    I’ running MacOS Mojave and I’ve tried to install & run the trial version, which works. Any hints to get around this ?
